Job SummaryProvidesstrategic leadership and operational oversight of simulation, instructionaltechnology, and audiovisual systems across the College of Nursing and HealthProfessions (CNHP). This position ensures the efficient use and continuousadvancement of educational technologies, simulation resources, andinstructional AV support to align with accreditation standards and academicprogram needs. Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and external vendorsto ensure high-quality, forward-thinking simulation and technology services.Supervises technical support personnel and contributes to strategic planningfor technology-related initiatives.The individual in this position is expectedto be present and available throughout the year during the normal businesshours of the CNHP and will have arranged work obligations outside of the CNHP'snormal business hours. This position collaborates with the Director ofSimulation Centers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Develops and implements technology strategies for instructional delivery and simulation-based learning across the College of Nursing and Health Professions, including integration into classrooms, labs, and simulation environments.
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the Clinical Simulation Center in coordination with the Director of Simulation Centers, ensuring compliance with academic and safety standards. Manages AV systems, simulation technologies, and scheduling with academic programs.
- Coordinatesplanning, purchasing, deployment, and maintenance of instructional andsimulation technologies. Leads classroom upgrades, infrastructure planning, andvendor partnerships, ensuring alignment with institutional IT standards.
- Collaborates with faculty and administrators to assess technology needs, provides consultation and training on instructional tools and simulation platforms, and ensures effective integration of technology into teaching and learning.
- Supervises the Records and Technology Assistant, delegating tasks, supporting professional development, and aligning team activities with college goals. Maintains expertise in simulation and AV technologies to support innovation and continuous improvement.
- Contributes to strategic planning, accreditation efforts, and grant proposals by advising on instructional technology. Manages college web content in coordination with academic units, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and brand alignment.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the college's mission and technical operations.
Minimum QualificationsAssociatedegree in a technology-related field from an accredited college or universityand at least 3 years of progressively responsible experience in simulation,instructional technology, or audiovisual systems management , or an -equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of the position.
Knowledge,Skills, and Abilities (KSA)- Advanced knowledge of instructional, simulation, and AV technologies.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Skill in troubleshooting complex hardware/software issues.
- Ability to supervise and lead technical staff.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and administrative stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Familiarity with healthcare simulation platforms (e.g., Laerdal, Gaumard).
- Ability to assess and implement emerging technologies.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor'sdegree or higher in a technology, education, or healthcare-related field.
Simulation-related certification (e.g. CHSE) or advanced training ininstructional technology.
Experience managing educational technology or simulation systems in a highereducation or healthcare environment.
