SALARY RANGE $130,000 - $150,000 DOE. As Director of Human Resources, you'll drive HR and initiatives such as talent acquisition and retention, benefits, employee relations and learning & development programs. You'll be one of the drivers of the company culture, whilst ensuring the team members deliver a guest experience that is aligned with company's' service culture. You'll also coach leadership team on all people-related matters.
Essential Functions- Must adhere to the company's Service culture - 4 Keys to creating guests for life.
- Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
- Direct and supervise Human Resources team.
- Prepare and maintain Human Resources budget.
- Maintain thorough and current knowledge of all Human Resources/employee regulations and laws and ensure that the property is in compliance.
- Develop creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide guests with a unique experience.
- Develop awareness and reputation of the resort and the brand in the local community and promote team member involvement in local community.
- Communicate new policies, information, and directives to all employees.
- Work with department leaders to develop initiatives to reach service standards and drive continuous improvement in the guest experience.
- Set up, approve, and maintain all wage and salary programs, including performance evaluations.
- Update and submit required reports in a timely manner.
- Spearhead Service Culture committee and drive activities that promote work/life balance and overall engagement.
- Conduct Leadership training sessions.
- Educate and train managers on HR related discipline process to foster productivity and enhance performance.
- Maintain compliance with Silverado Resort policies, standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the resort.
- Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Qualifications- At least 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a resort or a related industry; or a 4-year college degree and at least 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.
- Previous supervisory responsibility required.
- College course work in related field helpful.
- Familiarity with and knowledge of employment laws required.
Work Conditions and Schedule- Weekend and holiday availability may be required as well as flexibility with work schedule.
- The scope of the position may sometimes require a work week over 40 hours, including nights, occasional weekends and occasional holidays.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- The role requires sitting at the desk in front of the computer for an extended period of time.
