Full Job Description
A high-growth 503A Compounding Pharmacy in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking an experienced, operationally driven Director of Human Resources.

As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Director of HR will design, build, and execute the company's people strategy. This role bridges standard HR governance with the rigid compliance demands of a highly regulated healthcare facility. You will be responsible for scaling the organization, managing complex multi-state licensing compliance, tracking specialized onboarding protocols (including sterile cleanroom training), and cultivating a compliance-forward, performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Partner with executive leadership and the Director of Pharmacy Operations to forecast hiring needs, build active talent pipelines, and recruit specialized pharmacy personnel (pharmacists, sterile/non-sterile technicians, operational support) to support rapid scaling.
  • Compliance & Training Governance: Partner with the Compliance Committee and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to ensure 100% compliance regarding staff credentials, background checks, and multi-state (KS/MO) board requirements. Oversee the tracking and documentation of the company's mandatory 120-Day Executive Onboarding and sterile competency programs.
  • Performance Management & Culture: Refine the performance evaluation infrastructure. Establish clear accountability metrics, conduct organizational health assessments, and champion a solution-oriented, team-first culture.
  • Employee Relations & Policy: Standardize and maintain the Employee Handbook and corporate policies. Serve as the primary advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring all procedures protect patient-safety mandates.
  • HR Infrastructure & Systems: Manage HR technology systems (including onboarding platforms, tracking portals, and HubSpot communications) to streamline payroll coordination, benefits administration, and training compliance.

Public - Required Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Director or Senior Manager capacity.
  • Industry Background: Proven HR leadership within a highly regulated, high-growth environment (e.g., pharmacy, healthcare, life sciences, medical manufacturing, or medical devices).
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and structured onboarding design. Exceptional emotional intelligence and a track record of building structure where none exists.

Public - Preferred Skills
  • HR Certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR).
  • Experience navigating multi-state employment regulations (specifically Kansas and Missouri).
  • Familiarity with tracking medical/clinical compliance training or high-throughput manufacturing staffing models.

Public - Schedule/Shift

8:30am - 6pm Mon-Fri
