Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Davidson Hospitality Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

We're looking for a Director of Human Resources to lead the people strategy at Sheraton Kauai, creating an exceptional team member experience while supporting the hotel's continued success.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience
  • Prior hotel or resort HR experience required
  • Strong background in employment law, recruiting, employee relations, and talent retention
  • Proven experience leading employee engagement, performance management, and talent development initiatives
  • Strong understanding of EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Ability to effectively advise and influence property leadership on HR matters
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Experience supporting and leading a diverse workforce
  • High degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, and common sense
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and remain flexible through changing priorities
  • Affirmative Action experience is a plus
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
