Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Director of Human Resources is
responsible to provide leadership in developing, achieving and maintaining the best possible programs and Human Resources services. To lead and facilitate the administration of services for certificated and classified staff in accordance with the California Education Code Regulations, Board Policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements. To supervise the translation of the District's personnel philosophy, goals and objectives to benefit district employees. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the administration of the various District Human Resources services, including but not limited to, supporting and enhancing employer/employee relations, negotiations, staffing of the school, knowledge of position control, employee improvement programs, evaluations and new teacher support programs. Supervises and manages areas related to risk management, health insurance program, employee safety, workers' compensation, OSHA compliance and hazardous materials management & training. Provides highly responsible and complex support to the Superintendent.
