The role

Health Link Home Health & Hospice has grown steadily across the Bay Area for over 20 years. We're hiring a Director of HR to build and own the function end-to-end across our three branches.

What you'll own
  • Full-cycle recruiting across all three branches: requisitions, sourcing strategy, vendor and job board spend, and interview design

  • HR policy, the employee handbook, and consistent application across locations
  • Compliance with federal, California, and San Francisco employment law, including wage and hour, leave, accommodation, and pay transparency
  • Healthcare-specific compliance: licensure tracking and verification, exclusion screening, background clearances, mandatory training, and personnel records that hold up at survey
  • Onboarding, benefits administration, leave and accommodation processes
  • Workforce planning, retention strategy, and the HR and recruiting budget
What you'll need
  • 5+ years of progressive HR leadership, including ownership of employee relations and compliance
  • Direct experience running full-cycle hiring, a recruiting budget, and vendor relationships
  • Working knowledge of California and federal employment law
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and document workplace investigations
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation, or another reliable way to travel between branches

Preferred: home health, hospice, or multi-site healthcare experience; familiarity with healthcare employment compliance; SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR.
