Full Job Description
Position Summary: The Director of Human Resources will lead the day-to-day human resources operations while supporting the strategic vision of the Ministry. This role works closely with the Chief People Officer and the HR team to ensure a culture of excellence, compliance, and engagement. The ideal candidate is both a seasoned HR professional and a servant leader, bringing operational expertise, strategic insight, and a heart for ministry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Administer the annual benefits open enrollment process and manage HR-related vendors and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws while aligning HR practices with the Ministry's mission and values.
  • Support leadership and staff with coaching, development, and guidance rooted in biblical principles.
  • Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field, or a combination of education and professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP).
  • Ten or more years of broad HR leadership experience, including personnel management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (EEOC, Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA) and ability to apply them to real-world situations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and proven ability to partner with leaders and staff at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate biblical principles and ministry values into HR leadership.
