Director of Hospice Operations to lead intake, scheduling, team coordinators, and administrative support teams. This role is critical to ensuring timely patient access, strong communication, and a seamless patient and family experience from referral through admission.
This is a
newly created leadership position with meaningful influence over front-end hospice operations, service recovery, and operational improvement. Compensation includes a competitive base salary with performance-based incentives tied to operational excellence, patient access, and satisfaction metrics.
What You'll Do- Lead and manage hospice intake, scheduling, team coordinators, and administrative teams
- Ensure a smooth, compassionate, and efficient experience for patients and families from referral through admission
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
- Monitor operational performance metrics related to access, scheduling, and patient/family satisfaction
- Partner with finance on staffing models, budgets, and productivity oversight
- Serve as an escalation point for service recovery, patient/family concerns, and referral partner issues
- Collaborate with business development on account reviews and operational support
- Support compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
What We're Looking For- 5+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience
- Hospice or home health experience strongly preferred
- Proven success leading intake, scheduling, or administrative teams
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with process improvement and operational performance metrics
- Financial awareness related to staffing efficiency and budget oversight
- RN or clinical background preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, nursing, or related field (preferred)
