Director of Health and Safety to join our team, working directly with operations, engineering, manufacturing, facilities, and executive leadership and focusing on building, leading, and continuously improving TurboCell's health, safety, and risk management programs.

Director of Health and Safety must be a proactive leader who can operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a fast-moving manufacturing and technology environment. The right person should be professional, trustworthy with confidential information, highly organized, self-motivated, and able to influence teams at all levels of the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:- Develop, implement, and continuously improve company-wide health and safety policies, procedures, standards, and training programs.
- Build and lead a proactive safety culture across manufacturing, engineering, facilities, field operations, and leadership teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations, including OSHA requirements and relevant environmental, industrial, and workplace safety standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, inspections, audits, and corrective action reviews to identify and reduce operational risks.
- Lead incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action planning, and follow-up verification.
- Establish and monitor safety metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting processes for executive leadership and operational teams.
- Partner with site leaders to improve emergency preparedness, contractor safety, equipment safety, chemical safety, ergonomics, and job hazard analysis processes.
- Serve as the primary internal resource for health and safety guidance during new product introduction, facility changes, process changes, and manufacturing scale-up.
Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive health and safety experience, including direct experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, energy, technology, or engineered-product environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience building safety programs, influencing cross-functional teams, and advising senior leaders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation methods, hazard recognition, risk assessment, audit practices, and corrective action management.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP, or equivalent credentials are strongly preferred.
Specific Skills / Abilities- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, influence, and hold teams accountable while building trust.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present safety performance, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Practical, hands-on understanding of manufacturing operations, equipment safety, lockout/tagout, machine guarding, material handling, contractor safety, and emergency response.
- Ability to translate regulations and standards into clear, practical processes that support safe and efficient operations.
- Highly organized, data-driven, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
- Comfortable working independently, leading through ambiguity, and partnering across disciplines to solve complex operational challenges.

Base Salary Range
$160,000-$180,000 USD
