Director, Global Tax & Treasury

Location: Boston, MA or New York, NY

Role Overview

The Director, Global Tax & Treasury will lead the company's U.S. and international tax and treasury activities. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, external advisors, and business leaders to ensure tax compliance, effective tax planning, strong cash management, and appropriate controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance, including income, indirect, and other applicable taxes.
  • Oversee global tax compliance and reporting across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with local teams and external advisors.
  • Manage U.S. and international tax planning, including transfer pricing, cross-border matters, legal entity restructuring and rationalization, and tax considerations related to acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities and manage relationships with external tax advisors.
  • Monitor changes in U.S. and international tax regulations and assess the impact on the business.
  • Support tax accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements.
  • Lead treasury activities, including cash management, liquidity planning, cash forecasting, funding requirements, and banking relationships.
  • Oversee bank accounts, cash movements, corporate card programs, and related treasury controls.
  • Support legal entity management and other tax and treasury-related corporate compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls, documentation, and compliance calendars across tax and treasury.
  • Identify opportunities to improve tax and treasury processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Manage and develop team members and external service providers while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and Legal.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally including both public accounting and industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state taxation with experience managing international tax matters.
  • Experience with transfer pricing, cross-border tax matters, and global tax compliance.
  • Prior treasury experience is preferred but not required; the successful candidate should be comfortable taking on treasury responsibilities as part of the role.
  • Experience managing external advisors and working across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and manage multiple priorities.

Base salary $225,000
