Full Job Description
This is a key, highly visible leadership position with significant ability to impact the financial results of the entire Kimball Electronics organization. This role can be located remotely. Successfully completing assigned objectives will result in recognition opportunities too numerous to mention. This position will interact with key leaders across the organization from CEO to Materials Management teams at the various KEI facilities as well as supply base. The opportunity to travel to both US and foreign business units and supply partners exists - up to 30%. Key Knowledge / Experience Required: Advanced knowledge of global strategic sourcing and commodity management Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP), spend analysis, and database management Advanced knowledge of Excel and business analytics tools Supply Chain Negotiation experience (10 yrs minimum, global required) Contract Electronics Manufacturing Industry experience (10 yrs minimum) Demonstrated leadership and team development experience Key Performance Objectives Within 0-6 months: Assess Global Commodity Quote Process and establish priorities, timelines, and performance expectations Lead key supplier negotiations and identify total cost reduction opportunities Review global spend data and validate supplier, pricing, VMI, and active-part information with sites Use database and Lytica tools to refine best-price and TCO targets Provide global guidance for quote packages, supplier awards, and implementation Establish reporting for savings, PPV, award implementation, and supplier performance Establish supplier scorecards, executive contacts, and escalation processes Assess market shifts, new technologies, and supply risks and communicate direction to KEI locations Evaluate team resources and establish development and accountability expectations Within 6-12 months: Deliver measurable material cost and total cost improvement through global sourcing strategies Improve supplier quality, service, cost, and escalation effectiveness Lead Global Spend Analysis and maintain the Spend Information Database Lead Conflict Minerals Initiative with Finance Lead Minority/Diversified Supplier Development Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation and supply continuity strategies Lead and develop global supply chain team resources Support special projects connected with growth and margin improvement The typical pay range for this role is: $120000 - $150000 the actual wages offered will vary based on multiple factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
