Full Job Description
What you'll do:

  • Point of escalation for day-to-day operational issues or concerns, escalate critical issues, facilitate timely resolution with available resources
  • Lead the Institutional, intermediary and sub-advisory operations (separately managed accounts, commingled funds, collective investment trusts, ETFs, etc.)
  • Ensure appropriate daily coverage of critical functions as well as to monitor/maintain core systems
  • Coordinate and ensure team meets deadlines on periodic deliverables and hold them accountable
  • Ensure proper cross-training across operational functions
  • Ensure policies/procedures and/or checklists are created, approved and maintained for all critical functions and sub-functions or periodic deliverables
  • Maintenance of all aspects of portfolio accounting system (APX/Advent) including daily reconciliation, trade affirmation/settlement, security setup, pricing/account valuation, corporate actions, system automation, data workflow/custom reporting
  • Assist in supporting the Head of Performance & Data with GIPS compliant composites; provide support for periodic production of portfolio/composite performance data and portfolio risk statistics (performance attribution, etc.)
  • Work closely with various internal groups to improve operational efficiencies and proactively identify procedural, technical and data/reporting issues
  • Monitor reports to identify data quality issues and coordinate resolutions
  • Resolve client account reconciliation issues that may occur between portfolio accounting system and various third-party client custodians
  • Open/close client accounts and complete ongoing account changes
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly client reports and seek ways to improve process


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10-12+ years of experience in Investment Management Operations or related field.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work within deadlines and prioritize projects.
  • A self-motivated employee and an effective team player.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with investment operational applications -- investment accounting, reconciliation, and performance analytics systems, Advent preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of complex investment and portfolio management products including alternative investments a definite plus.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 -132,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
