Position Summary The Director of FP&A is the primary finance partner to the Chief Commercial Officer, overseeing Event, Retail, and Canvassing go-to-market channels. Reporting to the Sr. Director of FP&A with a dotted line to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role will drive financial planning, forecasting, and performance analytics that optimize lead generation, volume growth, and profitability across the field marketing organization. In addition to channel finance responsibilities, this role will own the development, maintenance, and automation of FP&A analytics across all corporate/product space - building scalable reporting infrastructure and translating complex operational data into clear, actionable insights for executive leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Forecasting• Lead forecasting and annual planning (AOP) processes for the Event, Retail, and Canvassing go-to-market channels
• Forecast lead generation, spend, and sales conversion across all three channels, incorporating market assumptions
• Partner with commercial leadership to align lead-generation targets, market expansion plans, and channel investments with revenue and profitability objectives
• Support Board of Director and executive leadership presentation materials for performance reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Channel Performance & Marketing Analytics• Analyze marketing performance by region, office location, retail store, and event type to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
• Evaluate differences in lead quality, conversion rates, and cost efficiency across field teams and markets to drive operational improvements
• Develop financial frameworks to optimize resource allocation across field teams, retail partners, and events
• Build and maintain ROI and unit economics models to evaluate field marketing performance across channels
• Analyze full funnel performance from Lead to Set to Issue to Sale to Install
• Track and analyze key KPIs including Cost Per Lead, Leads per Event/Store, ROAS, and contribution margin
Analytics Development & Automation• Own the development, maintenance, and automation of FP&A analytics across the FP&A function's processes
• Design and continuously improve automated reporting and analytics infrastructure to reduce manual effort and increase decision-making speed
• Partner with Data Analytics team to develop scalable dashboards and data pipelines in tools such as Tableau, Salesforce, and NetSuite
• Identify and implement automation opportunities across recurring reporting, forecasting workflows, and data reconciliation processes
• Help standardize reporting frameworks and performance dashboards across the field organization
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across commercial reporting, working cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and align on definitions
Financial Reporting & Variance Analysis• Deliver timely performance reporting on marketing spend, lead generation, and revenue conversion for the CCO and senior leadership
• Provide variance analysis comparing actual performance vs. forecast and plan, with clear articulation of drivers and recommendations
• Translate operational performance trends into clear financial insights and executive-ready presentations
• Support monthly close by partnering with Accounting and HR to ensure field marketing spend is properly coded, tracked, and accrued
• Conduct deep-dive analyses on key commercial drivers including revenue mix, channel efficiency, rep performance, and market penetration
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration• Improve financial reporting, data visibility, and forecast accuracy across field marketing channels
• Work closely with Sales, Analytics, Operations, Accounting, and HR to ensure financial alignment and shared accountability for commercial outcomes
• Collaborate with the broader FP&A organization to support consolidated reporting, data requests, and enterprise-wide planning processes
• Support the commercial organization with ad-hoc financial analyses and strategic initiatives
• Contribute to standardization of commercial reporting definitions, processes, and tools across product lines and channels
Experience and Minimum Qualifications: • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or marketing analytics roles
• Experience supporting field marketing, direct-to-consumer, home improvement, or multi-channel go-to-market organizations strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus
• Demonstrated experience building and scaling analytics and reporting infrastructure
• Proficiency with NetSuite, NSPB, Tableau, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint)

• Deep experience with funnel economics, marketing ROI modeling, channel analytics, and variance analysis
• Proven ability to build scalable automation and reporting solutions that reduce manual work and improve organizational speed
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills - able to distill complex data into clear, compelling insights for executive and non-finance audiences

Travel Requirements: Occasional overnight travel is required (1-10%)
