OverviewThe Director of FP&A is a strategic finance leader responsible for driving the organization’s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities. This role partners closely with senior leadership to provide data-driven insights, support decision-making, and ensure alignment of financial plans with business objectives. The Director of FP&A plays a critical role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, improving performance visibility, and enhancing financial processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive, business operations, and department leadership.
- Deliver executive-level reporting with clear, concise performance insights (CFO, CEO, Board)
- Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership that connect financial performance to operational drivers
- Drives alignment between financial reporting, planning assumptions, and performance insights across the enterprise
- Elevate capability in analytics, modeling, and business partnering
- Collaborate with all enterprise financial functions (Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc.) to develop insights and efficiencies in both reporting and predictive analysis
- Use current technologies, including artificial intelligence, to deliver best-in-class insights and improve execution
- Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development within the FP&A team
- Executive presence and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 to15 years of experience in FP&A leadership role
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years successfully developing people in a high performing managerial capacity
- Deep experience inconstruction / engineering / project-based business
- Strong knowledge of advanced financial modeling
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Rhode Island, this ranges from $155,000-$190,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
