Full Job Description
Grand View Lodge is looking for a seasoned hospitality finance leader to serve as Director of Finance; a critical partner to the Managing Director and a key contributor to the property's overall success. You'll own the full scope of resort accounting and finance, from budget development and financial reporting to insurance programs, team development, and cross-departmental collaboration. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that requires both technical financial expertise and the kind of leadership presence that earns trust across operational teams. For the right person, it's also a role with real runway: broad exposure to all aspects of the business and a clear path to corporate-level opportunities within Cote Hospitality.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of the resort's annual operating and capital budgets; ensuring alignment with property goals and organizational priorities.
  • Prepare and present the resort's financial statements; coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely filing of all required state and federal forms.
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director to initiate, implement, and execute property-wide financial goals; providing the data, analysis, and recommendations leadership needs to make sound decisions.
  • Direct and coordinate the resort's insurance programs, ensuring appropriate coverage for all known risks including GL, Workers' Comp, and employment liability.
  • Maintain an efficient, well-organized Finance and Accounting team; streamlining operations, eliminating redundancies, and building a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top finance talent; invest in your team's growth as actively as you invest in the numbers.
  • Prepare financial materials for review by the CFO, CEO, and Board as needed.
  • Serve as a collaborative financial resource across all resort departments; helping operational leaders understand their numbers, improve their processes, and deliver on guest service and revenue goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with all property and company policies; model and reinforce a culture of integrity and fiscal responsibility.
  • Support departments with coverage, scheduling, and service as needed; this is a role that leads from the front.
  • This role is primarily on-site; some travel may be required.
  • This is a resort hospitality role; availability on weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons and for key client events is required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:
  • 5+ years of experience managing a finance or accounting department in a hospitality or resort environment; required.
  • Strong knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry (USALI) and GAAP; a BA in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality is highly preferred.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; you're as comfortable in the details as you are presenting insights to senior leadership.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience evaluating system and labor efficiency gaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and retain hospitality accounting teams.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach; you build bridges across departments and earn trust through competence and consistency.
  • Exceptional communication skills; you translate financial complexity into clear, actionable insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • The flexibility and willingness to step into any task needed to support the property's success.
