What you will have an opportunity to do:
This role requires balancing daily hands-on troubleshooting with long-term strategic planning. The ideal candidate will protect the aesthetic and structural integrity of our oceanfront property while ensuring that guest comfort, safety, and sustainability remain top priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Property & Asset Management - Implement a rigorous preventative maintenance schedule designed specifically for salt-air, high-humidity, and high-UV environments to prevent corrosion and weathering of buildings, decks, and outdoor furniture.
*Oversee the pristine condition of all beachside assets, including boardwalks, pool decks, outdoor showers, cabanas, etc.
*Manage the resort's HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and commercial kitchen systems, ensuring high energy efficiency and minimal downtime.
Guest Experience & Aestheic Standards
*Maintain a "walk-the-property" mentality to ensure that luxury aesthetic standards are met daily across all guest rooms, public spaces, and grounds.
*Coordinate closely with the Director of Rooms, Housekeeping Manager, and Guest Services Manager to rapidly resolve guest room maintenance requests.
*Oversee beach grooming, landscaping, and pool/spa chemistry to ensure picture perfect recreation areas.
Disaster Preparedness & Safety Compliance
*Serve as the primary architect and executor of the resort's Hurricane and Severe Weather Preparedness Plan.
*Ensure 100% compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, EPA, fire codes, and beach/marine wildlife protection laws.
*Maintain and test all life safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and emergency lighting.
Leadership & Financial Accountability
*Recruit, rain, mentor, and schedule a small, highly efficient team of maintenance technicians and groundskeepers.
*Develop and manage the annual Facilities operating budget and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) plan.
*Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) contractors, and waste management services.
What are we looking for?
Required Qualifications & Skills
*Minimum of 5-7 yrs of hospitality facilities management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Direct experience at an oceanfront resort is preferred.
*Deep understanding of commercial HVAC, pool/spa chemistry (certification preferred), plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
*Degree or technical certification in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
*High emotional intelligence to interact warmly with luxury guests and associates of the resort; excellents crisis-management skills; fluency in English (multilingualism, particulary Spanish, is a major plus for team management).
*Ability to work in outdoor coastal weather conditions (heat, humidity, wind) and lift up o 50lbs. Must be on-call for emergency situations.

$78,000.00
$85,000.00
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
