  • Lead all pre-opening engineering activities, including building commissioning, operational readiness, vendor coordination, warranty management, inspections, and completion of all punch list items to ensure a successful hotel opening.
  • Build and develop the Engineering department from the ground up, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and mentoring team members while establishing a culture of accountability, safety, and service excellence.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of hotel engineering, including maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and management of all building systems to ensure maximum reliability and guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain and continually enhance preventative maintenance programs to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of all HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety, mechanical, and building automation systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards, local building codes, Hilton brand requirements, and Concord Hospitality operational standards.

  • Oversee contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maximizing warranty protection and asset performance.
  • Monitor and manage departmental budgets, inventory, purchasing, contracts, and capital expenditures to control costs, improve efficiency, and support long-term asset preservation.
  • Lead the hotel's emergency preparedness, life safety, risk management, and business continuity initiatives while serving as a key leader during emergency response situations.
  • Champion sustainability and energy management initiatives that improve operational efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support Concord Hospitality's stewardship objectives.
  • Partner closely with the General Manager, Concord Hospitality leadership, ownership representatives, and other department leaders to communicate engineering performance, capital needs, operational priorities, and strategic facility initiatives.
  • Ensure the property remains in exceptional condition by establishing best-in-class maintenance standards, protecting the owner's investment, and delivering a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment for guests and associates.
