Job description
The Director of Continuous Improvement is responsible for developing, planning, and executing the strategy that results in eliminating waste, and improving customer satisfaction. Should be competent as a process manager skilled in project design, planning, and implementation to ensure performance and process development as well as driving continuous improvement objectives. This role requires hands-on knowledge of manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, distribution, or engineering as well as experience as a lean transformation leader with a broad cross-functional background.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
1. HK/MP: Manage the HK/MP process and build the Business Unit Master Plan with Managers to use in the deployment of strategic operational objectives.
2. Pilot the Lean Sigma Deployment: Onboarding training, coaching Green Belts, sponsor of key improvement projects for Oxygen Systems US consistent with the Master Plan.
3. On-Site Workshops: Organize and facilitate on-site workshops from the Master Plan, and support the pilots in execution.
4. QRQC: Support deployment and increase maturity.
5. Establish cost reduction goals and make plans to achieve them.
6. Driving a continuous improvement culture within the organization by prioritizing opportunities and execution of a Lean transformation strategy and metrics.
7. Identifying best practices within and outside the company and serving as a channel for best practice sharing and adoption across business units.
8. Business Process Manager for the improvement process: Deploy process targets at the Business Unit level and participate in the SAO/Safran network to improve the Master Plan process.
9. Using metrics to provide support to process owners in linking projects to strategic operations objectives.
10. Managing and facilitating continuous improvement projects and kaizen events to improve productivity and accelerate growth.

Candidate skills & requirements
Qualifications:
Education-
Required- BS Degree - Management or Technical field and ten years experience in a manufacturing environment with five years in a management role.
Preferred- Black Belt Certification or in the process of certification.
Experience-
Required- Minimum ten years in a general manufacturing environment preferred, with at least five years prior experience in a supervisory or management role. Extensive experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Annual salary
$120,000 - $150,000 commensurate with experience
