We're seeking a Director of Content & Brand to lead the strategic vision, development, and execution of content and brand initiatives across the agency. As a performance marketing agency, we believe great content and strong brands are essential drivers of business growth. This role is responsible for shaping how clients communicate with their audiences, developing content strategies that support measurable marketing outcomes, and ensuring every brand touchpoint is aligned, compelling and effective.

You understand how content, messaging, and brand positioning influence customer behavior across the entire marketing funnel. You're comfortable developing high-level content strategies, refining brand messaging, collaborating with channel specialists and leading teams responsible for creating impactful content across digital and traditional channels. RESPONSIBILITIES

Content & Brand Strategy Leadership
  • Lead the strategic direction of content marketing, brand development, messaging and communications across the agency's portfolio of client accounts
  • Develop content strategies that support lead generation, customer acquisition, engagement, retention and overall business growth
  • Guide brand positioning, messaging frameworks, value propositions, voice and tone development and audience targeting initiatives
  • Ensure consistency and effectiveness across all brand and content touchpoints, including websites, landing pages, advertising, email marketing, social media, video, sales materials and traditional marketing assets
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client brands through strategic storytelling, content innovation and audience-focused messaging
  • Stay current on industry trends, consumer behavior, content marketing best practices, AI-driven content technologies and emerging communication channels

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content strategists, copywriters, content creators, editors, and contractors
  • Establish content standards, editorial processes, quality assurance frameworks and best practices
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities that elevate the quality and effectiveness of content across the organization
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding and team growth initiatives
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and performance-driven culture focused on continuous improvement

Content Creation & Editorial Oversight
  • Oversee the creation and execution of content across websites, blogs, landing pages, advertising campaigns, email marketing, social media, video scripts, sales collateral, thought leadership content and other marketing initiatives
  • Ensure all content aligns with client objectives, brand standards, audience needs and channel-specific best practices
  • Review and approve content deliverables to maintain quality, consistency, accuracy and strategic alignment
  • Guide editorial calendars, content roadmaps and campaign messaging strategies
  • Ensure content is optimized for engagement, search visibility, conversion and overall performance


Performance-Focused Content Strategy
  • Partner closely with SEO, Paid Media, Email, Web, Social Media, and Account Management teams to develop integrated marketing strategies
  • Use performance data, audience insights, competitive analysis and customer research to inform content recommendations and optimization efforts
  • Develop content frameworks that support both brand-building and revenue-generating initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates, customer engagement and campaign performance through strategic content development
  • Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks that demonstrate the impact of content and brand initiatives on business outcomes

Client Leadership
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor for content, messaging, and brand initiatives across key client relationships
  • Lead brand workshops, messaging sessions, content strategy presentations and stakeholder discussions
  • Translate complex business objectives into clear, compelling messaging and content strategies
  • Provide strategic recommendations that help clients strengthen their market position and competitive differentiation
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, collaboration, and thought leadership

REQUIREMENTS
  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing, brand strategy, communications, copywriting, journalism, public relations, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience leading content, brand, creative, or marketing teams
  • Strong experience developing content strategies that support measurable business and marketing objectives
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, and communication skills across a variety of formats and audiences
  • Deep understanding of brand positioning, messaging strategy, audience development, and customer journey mapping
  • Experience creating and overseeing content across websites, SEO initiatives, paid media campaigns, email marketing, social media, video, and traditional marketing channels
