State Benefits PacketPosition DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing professional support to the local courts legislative and civic outreach programs. The position is responsible for developing communication policy, and priorities; providing strategic communication support to court programs, activities, and initiatives; providing communication counsel; serving as media spokesperson to include communications on social media for the circuit. The position develops and implements circuit presentations for the judges and court staff. Work is performed under the supervision of the Trial Courts Administrator.
Education, Experience, Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in English, journalism, legal studies, public or business administration and five years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Strong knowledge of Facebook and social media platforms.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in maintaining effective working relationships with State Courts System staff relevant to communication and execution of public information.
- Ability to manage and handle all forms of public communications and be the main contact for all Public Records requests.
- Ability to travel between courthouse locations to meet duties required for the position.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including creating and delivering formal presentations to the public.
- Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, impartiality, and honesty in handling matters before the court.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Power Point and similar word processing computer systems.
