Posting Summary:

Mission Multiplier is seeking a Director of CMMC Practice & Azure Secure Enclave Operations to lead the design, implementation, operation, and growth of our CMMC cybersecurity and compliance practice.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the company's CMMC practice, overseeing technical delivery, customer implementations, compliance readiness, quality, staffing, schedules, and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the senior technical and compliance advisor for customers pursuing and maintaining CMMC Level 2 certification.
  • Architect, deploy, secure, and administer Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments supporting CMMC-compliant enclaves.
  • Design and manage Azure infrastructure, including subscriptions, resource groups, virtual networks, VMs, storage, networking, security controls, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Configure and administer Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Log Analytics, Purview, and Azure Policy to implement identity, endpoint, security, logging, monitoring, and CUI protection controls.
  • Translate NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC requirements into technically enforceable configurations, security baselines, CUI boundaries, architectures, and operational procedures.
  • Lead CMMC readiness assessments, technical remediation, evidence development, SSP development, and preparation for and participation in C3PAO assessments.
  • Develop standardized architectures, hardened baselines, gold images, deployment templates, configuration guides, SOPs, checklists, and technical documentation to enable repeatable CMMC implementations.
  • Provide senior-level systems administration and troubleshooting, including Windows systems, identity and access management, patching, vulnerability remediation, endpoint management, networking, storage, backups, and recovery.
  • Establish and oversee continuous monitoring and managed security operations, including security-event monitoring, vulnerability management, configuration-drift detection, access reviews, logging, incident response, and CMMC evidence maintenance.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of Azure engineers, systems administrators, CMMC/GRC specialists, ISSOs/ISSMs, and cybersecurity professionals.
  • Support business development through customer discovery, solution architecture, technical demonstrations, proposals, pricing/estimating, statements of work, and technical customer engagements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in IT or Cybersecurity or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, systems administration, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, or a related technical field, including 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft/Azure engineering or systems administration.
  • Senior-level expertise architecting, deploying, securing, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure VMs, networking, storage, backups, monitoring, and security controls.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server/workstations, Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Azure Policy, RBAC, MFA, Conditional Access, and PIM.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex cloud, Windows, identity, networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity issues.
  • Experience designing and securing cloud environments to meet CMMC Level 2, NIST SP 800-171, DoD, or other regulated cybersecurity requirements.
  • Ability to translate cybersecurity and compliance requirements into actual technical configurations, security baselines, and enforceable controls.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMC Level 2, including NIST SP 800-171/171A, SSPs, POA&Ms, CUI, and C3PAO assessment processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and cybersecurity concepts to customers, executives, assessors, engineers, and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience implementing and operating Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High and CMMC-compliant environments, particularly for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) organizations handling CUI preferred.
  • Experience successfully supporting organizations through CMMC Level 2 assessments, with CCP, CCA, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure Security Engineer Associate preferred.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Azure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, etc.), and standardized cloud deployments preferred.
  • Experience operating MSP/MSSP or managed cloud environments, including continuous monitoring, security operations, vulnerability management, and compliance maintenance preferred.
