Full Job Description
Director of Cloud Application Engineering and Digital Experience MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director of Cloud Application Engineering and Digital Experience sub-capability to join our Digital Practice in Herndon, VA . This is a hybrid position that combines high-level strategic vision with the "Federal Fluency" needed to navigate complex compliance, security, and procurement landscapes. As the leader of this sub-capability, you will be the architect of our technical identity, bridging the gap between mission-critical government requirements and modern, human-centric digital solutions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Establish and scale a world-class Modern Software Development practice, defining the technical "North Star" for Cloud App Engineering and UX/UI, and fostering a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and upskilling • Lead technical solutioning for high-stakes capture/proposal efforts exceeding $50M and manage the software development sub-capability's P&L, driving revenue growth and overall profitability • Act as a primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) during "Oral Presentations" and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships to identify organic growth opportunities • Oversee the delivery of resilient, cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, GCP) utilizing DevSecOps pipelines and Microservices architectures • Champion Human-Centered Design (HCD) and Section 508 compliance, ensuring all solutions meet rigorous Federal security standards (FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust architectures) • Recruit, mentor, and develop a diverse team of Full-Stack Engineers, Architects, and UX Designers, while managing complex project lifecycles, including strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. •+12 y ears of relevant IT experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale software development teams. • Demonstrated success in leading capture and proposal efforts for deals >$50M. • Extensive knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, UX/UI, Cloud Computing, and Microservices. • Strong experience in hiring, mentoring, and scaling technical organizations. • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with C-suite stakeholders and federal clients. Preferred Qualifications: • +10 years of deep U.S. Federal Government industry knowledge (Civilian, Health, or Defense). • Direct experience managing a P&L, including revenue generation and margin responsibility. • Prior experience in a professional services/consulting environment. • A passion for identifying new market opportunities and developing innovative software "accelerators." • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field . Clearance Requirements: • U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance Physical Requirements: • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations, and work with hardware and software assets needed to create, communicate, and present as needed. • Must be able to attend in-person meetings and participate in company and customer meetings whenever and whenever required.
