Position SummaryThe Augustine Institute Graduate School of Theology seeks a full-time faculty member (open rank) to serve as Area Director of the MA in Catholic Education program and support other Institute initiatives pertaining to Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the MA in Catholic Education program.
- Support other Augustine Institute initiatives pertaining to Catholic education.
- Articulate considered convictions about primary and secondary Catholic education in relation to the Church's identity, teaching, and mission.
- Engage effectively with various audiences and form and foster relationships with institutional partners.
Qualifications- Deep and broad understanding of the Catholic educational tradition.
- Clear understanding of current opportunities and challenges in primary and secondary Catholic education, especially in the United States.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Terminal degree in theology, philosophy, education, or a related field preferred.
- Significant teaching and/or administrative experience in Catholic K-12 education preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to articulate considered convictions about primary and secondary Catholic education in relation to the Church's identity, teaching, and mission.
- Ability to engage various audiences effectively.
- Ability to form and foster relationships with institutional partners.

Faith and Mission RequirementsAs a member of the Graduate School of Theology faculty, the successful candidate will make the Profession of Faith and take the Oath of Fidelity in order to receive the mandatum from the Archbishop of St. Louis.
