The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and building long-term relationships within the office furniture industry. You will work closely with leadership, marketing, and operations to identify growth opportunities and execute revenue-generating strategies across commercial and B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Business development leadership: Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities across commercial, corporate, and contract furniture markets
- Industry relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, designers, architects, procurement teams, and corporate clients
- Sales strategy execution: Develop and implement outreach strategies including cold calling, networking, and partnership development
- Pipeline management: Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline, track opportunities, and drive deals to close
- Market expansion: Identify new verticals, regions, and customer segments for growth
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to align offerings with client needs
- Competitive analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor positioning, and market demands
- Revenue performance: Meet and exceed sales targets while maintaining profitability

Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development or sales within the office furniture industry
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and commercial furniture markets
- Experience working with manufacturers, dealers, or contract furniture companies
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
