Job Description:

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement annual plans for continuous improvement of database systems, data integration across university platforms, and related technologies to ensure optimal data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Generate and oversee monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports in collaboration with the finance office, including donor benchmarking reports aligned with VSE and other gift reporting standards.
  • Translate constituent data into actionable information to support fundraising strategies, moves management, and measures of success.
  • Lead prospect research and pipeline discussions, including preparation of research briefs for events and meetings, to strengthen strategies for annual, major, and planned giving.
  • Serve as liaison with key university offices - including technology, finance, financial aid, athletics, and academic units - to support data integration, collaboration, and software project prioritization.
  • Coordinate and assess training needs for Advancement staff on database systems, business processes, and fundraising information systems to ensure consistent data integrity and institutional knowledge.
  • Execute and maintain key knowledge management resources including business process documentation, procedural handbooks, policies, and guidelines.
  • Manage access to alumni and donor data, safeguarding confidentiality, and overseeing coding tables, donor lists, and data requests.
  • Anticipate constituent needs and ensure sound donor stewardship practices are reflected across all Advancement services and communications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated experience working with donor databases and advancement systems, including Ellucian Advance and Salesforce with the ability to support data integrity, reporting, and gift processing functions.
  • Knowledge of Annual Giving operations, including campaign management, donor segmentation, solicitation strategies, and performance tracking.
