JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the College of Dentistry (C.O.D.) Senior Director of Student Services and Enrollment, the Director of Admissions leads, oversees, and executes all events and services designed to support recruitment for the Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (B.S.D.H.) programs. This position develops, implements, and oversees strategic measures to prepare highly qualified applicants for educational programs in the C.O.D.

Responsibilities

  1. Directs and oversees all advisement of potential applicants on the metrics, qualities, and experiences necessary to enter the D.D.S. and B.S.D.H. programs.
  2. Leads and oversees the management of applications submitted to the College of Dentistry through A.A.D.S.A.S. and D.H.C.A.S.
  3. Leads the collection and management of data and materials needed for the Liaison Enrollment Marketing Services program.
  4. Manages the operations of the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and best practices.
  5. Directs and oversees website management, social media campaigns, and recruiting materials in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Manages the collection and documentation of information with the Office of Enrollment Services for matriculation
  7. Plans, organizes, and executes on-campus, off-campus, and virtual recruiting events.
  8. Oversee and direct the process of delivering new student submissions of immunization records and required apparel.
  9. Generates and analyzes reports for C.O.D. administration for admissions analysis; presents findings and strategic recommendations to leadership.
  10. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree. (Master's preferred.) (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of progressive professional experience in higher education admissions or student affairs, preferably at a healthcare or professional school, with at least two (2) years in supervisory or leadership capacity; OR Master's Degree and two (2) years of progressive professional experience in higher education admissions or student affairs. Must have a valid Driver's License.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of university financial aid policies, matriculation procedures, academic records, and student resources.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and staff performance management practices.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communications and time management skills.
  • Skill in developing and executing strategic enrollment management and recruitment plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and centralized application management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of health professions, student development, and academic services.
  • Ability to analyze admissions data and generate strategic reports for senior leadership.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
