Job Summary

The Director of Admissions provides strategic leadership and oversight for all undergraduate admissions functions, guiding a team dedicated to recruiting, engaging, and supporting prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process. This position develops and implements enrollment strategies that align with GGC's mission and values, enhances student experience through exceptional customer service, and ensures efficient, student-centered admissions operations that promote enrollment success. The Director analyzes and reports recruitment data and outcomes to inform decision-making and ensure institutional effectiveness. The director collaborates across the institution to attract, enroll, and support a varied and qualified student population. This position serves as an integral member of the Enrollment Management leadership team, providing strategic direction and expertise on admissions and recruitment initiatives. The director prepares and presents enrollment forecasts, recruitment outcomes, market analyses, providing recommendations that support institutional planning and decision-making.

The Director of Admissions plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first-class customer service. This position participates in divisional activities as a member of the Enrollment Management Services Division. Responsibilities

• Provides strategic leadership for undergraduate and graduate admissions and recruitment operations, developing and implementing comprehensive enrollment strategies that support institutional growth, access, and student success goals.
• Direct the planning, execution and assessment of recruitment initiatives designed to achieve new student enrollment targets across freshman, transfer, dual enrollment, adult learner, graduate and other student populations.
• Lead, supervise, develop, and evaluate admission staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, customer service excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Utilizes enrollment analytics, market research, and predictive modeling to inform recruitment strategies, monitor performance metrics, and guide data-driven decision making.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with Gwinnett County Public schools, high school counselors, administrators and community stakeholders to support recruitment efforts and advance student enrollment opportunities.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with community colleges, community organizations, government agencies, and other external partners to strengthen enrollment pipelines and expand access opportunities.
• Provide executive oversight of admissions operations, including application process review, admissions decisions, tuition classification, policy implementation, compliance requirements, and service standards to ensure efficiency, consistency and regulatory compliance. Oversees the planning, development, and management of the departmental budget, ensuring the effective and efficient use of institutional resources in support of enrollment objectives.
• Collaborate with all areas in Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communications, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and other campus partners to create a seamless student recruitment, enrollment, and transition experience.
• Direct the strategy and effectiveness of admissions communications, Element 451 and other recruitment tools to enhance engagement, conversion, and enrollment outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education administration, student development, or related area
• 8+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate Degree from a regionally accredited institution in higher education administration, student development, or related area
• Ten or more years of experience as an administrator in an area of enrollment management in a higher education setting
• Experience that shows progression in leadership roles
• Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Business Administration, Public Administration, Marketing or related field
• Experience working at a University System of Georgia Institution
• Experience developing partnerships with K-12 school systems, community colleges, and community-based organizations.
• Proficiency with Banner or comparable technology.
• Proficiency with Element451 or comparable CRM.

Proposed Salary

71,700 - 91,400

Salary offer will be dependent on candidate's experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
