Position Summary:
The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the organization's daily accounting and financial operations while providing leadership, guidance, and strategic support to the Finance department. This position manages the accounting team, oversees the general ledger and month-end close processes, prepares and analyzes financial reports, supports budgeting and forecasting, coordinates audits, and ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Financial Operations-
Direct the daily workflow and operations of the Accounting department.
Oversee and serve as a backup for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, and cash flow functions.
Oversee monthly and year-end closing processes and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
Monitor accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure financial transactions are properly recorded, reconciled, and supported by appropriate documentation.
Financial Reporting & Analysis-
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and other financial reports.
Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts.
Lead monthly financial and variance reviews with department managers.
Consolidate and analyze financial data and communicate meaningful findings to leadership.
Provide financial information and analysis to support organizational planning and decision-making.
Compliance & Internal Controls-
Ensure accounting practices comply with applicable GAAP standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership-

Job Requirements
Education & Experience-
