Full Job Description
Director of Accounting to lead and oversee the organization's accounting operations across all entities. This role is critical in safeguarding organizational assets, ensuring financial integrity, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting that supports executive decision-making.

As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Director of Accounting will drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and build a high-performing accounting function. This leader will partner closely with executive stakeholders to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while supporting the continued growth and mission-driven impact of Empath Health and its family of programs.

What you'll Do

  • Lead and manage the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across all entities
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee monthly close, general ledger, audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting processes
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce reporting lag time
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, variance analysis, and support strategic decision-making
  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing accounting team

What You'll Need
