Controller - Oil & Gas

We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee and optimize the financial and operational accounting functions for our oil and gas clients. This role is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading accounting teams in a deadline-driven environment. The ideal candidate is a strategic financial professional with strong leadership capabilities, multi-entity experience, and a deep understanding of GAAP and oil and gas industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage Revenue Distributions
  • Administer and review Joint Interest Billings (JIB)
  • Lead the monthly close process, including preparation and review of financial statements
  • Review and interpret owner relations and revenue decks
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulatory requirements
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
  • Maintain strict adherence to reporting deadlines and deliverables
  • Optimize accounting workflows and operational efficiencies
  • Utilize and manage accounting systems, including PAK Energy software
