Full Job Description
Under the direction of the Vice President of Operations, Community Mental Health, this role will administer, direct and coordinate the functions of the nursing and other support or professional services at Parkview Behavioral Health Institute (PBHI)'s, Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) facility, and Park Center. Responsible for leading the nursing departments in the development, implementation and coordination of high quality, high valued patient care. Participates with PBHI Park Center leadership, medical staff and clinical leaders in organizational decision making and planning. Responsible for competency and skill development of the nursing team, in addition to enhancing and refining services within nursing and working in conjunction and collaboratively with other PBHI Park Center services. Responsible for positive relationships and effective communications with leaders, co-workers, medical staff, community representatives, and board members as appropriate. Responsible for leading the development, implementation and coordination of high-quality, high valued patient care. Utilizes team concepts to facilitate communication and direction that support the corporation, mission, vision, and values. Responsible for maintaining interprofessional relationships to support organizational decision-making and planning. Responsible for competency and skill development of the nursing team, in addition to enhancing and refining the services within nursing. Provides leadership to all aspects of the nursing areas to ensure the best possible practices both from a technical and patient focused perspective. Ensures that proper measurements are in place to monitor the various aspects of performance outcomes including patient perception of care, success of new and existing programs, resource allocation, and budget and productivity.

Must have a BSN from accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Master's degree preferred in related field.

Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification required. ANA Certification in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.

Must have a minimum of five to seven years progressive management experience within a behavioral health facility. Demonstrates current working knowledge and understanding of Joint Commission/ISDOH and other regulatory agencies.

Must possess strong customer service skills and clinical program/coworker development skills. Must work well with community and professional organizations in representing PBHI and Parkview Health.
