Job DescriptionClinical Leadership- Direct and supervise nursing operations across assigned hospital units or departments.
- Ensure delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
- Monitor quality indicators and implement performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee nurse managers, assistant nurse managers, and staff nurse practice and development.
Staff Management- Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and nurse managers.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and scheduling to support patient care needs.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Address employee performance issues and disciplinary actions as needed.
Regulatory Compliance- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including accreditation standards.
- Maintain readiness for inspections and audits from agencies such as ANC C, DOH, The Joint Commission, and CMS.
- Promote infection prevention, patient safety, and risk management initiatives.
Financial & Operational Oversight- Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets.
- Monitor labor costs, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Participate in strategic planning and hospital operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational goals and nursing strategies.
Patient Experience & Quality Improvement- Promote patient experience and quality outcomes.
- Analyze patient care data and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement programs.
Collaboration & Communication<
- Work closely with physicians, department leaders, and executive management.
- Participate in hospital committees and leadership meetings.
- Communicate organizational updates and expectations to nursing teams.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Nursing Required.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5-10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a hospital or
healthcare setting. - Previous management or director-level experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, accreditation standards, and healthcare
regulations.
