Position Summary

The Director, North America Rebates is responsible for the strategic oversight, accuracy, and execution of all rebate programs across North America. This role ensures rebate programs are set up correctly, accrued accurately, and settled timely, with strong controls, documentation, and cross‑functional alignment. The Director leads a team focused on minimizing period‑over‑period volatility, reducing downstream corrections, and supporting compliant financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end‑to‑end rebate program governance, including program setup, maintenance, accrual methodology, and settlement processes
  • Ensure rebate accruals are complete, accurate, and recorded in the appropriate accounting periods
  • Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close activities related to rebates, including analysis of fluctuations and variance explanations
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, documentation standards, and audit‑ready support for rebate accounting
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Merchandising and external partners to resolve discrepancies and improve data quality
  • Oversee rebate adjustments and corrections, ensuring root causes are identified and preventive actions are implemented
  • Develop and deliver training, guidance, and reference materials to improve consistency and understanding of rebate processes
  • Drive process improvements that reduce manual effort, suspense items, and rework while increasing transparency and timeliness
  • Manage, mentor, and develop a rebate team, setting clear expectations and measurable success criteria
  • Serve as the subject‑matter expert for rebate accounting, policy interpretation, and complex rebate structures

Qualifications
