Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning,
implementing and evaluating patient care of assigned area(s) with twenty-four (24) hour accountability.

Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs.

Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.

Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.

What qualifications you will need:

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Graduation from school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
Licensure/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact
license, in accordance with law and regulation. Certification in area of specialty preferred. Excellent oral and
written, communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required. Ability to achieve and then
maintain BCLS certification is required.
Experience: Two years clinical nursing experience required, prefer experience in area of specialty that will be managing. One
year supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.

We offer the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU. We have four emergency rooms, including a dedicated Pediatric emergency room and two freestanding ERs located in Olathe and Shawnee. Each year our colleagues treat over 45,000 patients.
