I. JOB SUMMARY:
A Director functions at a high organizational level, providing leadership and direction in the development and implementation of strategic and innovative initiatives to further the mission of The Queen's Health Systems (QHS) and its affiliates. Anticipates problems and other needs and seeks solutions to assure the on-going operations of QHS. Is highly skilled in facilitating interactions among organizational departments and functions. Promotes teamwork and collaboration; is results-oriented. A director reports to an executive; is accountable for functions and/or activities at the organization but may also have responsibilities supporting operations at other QHS entities or other affiliated organizations. He/she is accountable for outcomes and results to achieve the annual goals and objectives approved by the Board of Trustees. Makes a significant contribution to patient care quality and service. Functions as an organizational leader. Recognizes and supports the unique heritage and mission established by the founders, Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV.

Area(s) of assignment: Provides leadership and direction over provider and payer credentialing, peer review, and medical staff support at The Queen's Medical Center. Ensures timely and compliant credentialing operations through effective management of work production, service level agreements (SLAs), workload distribution, and performance metrics. Directs credentialing staff and external partners to meet operational targets while maintaining high standards for quality assurance. Oversees credentialing system operations, staff training and development, and continuous process improvement to optimize efficiency and accuracy. May be assigned other areas of responsibilities.

B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Professional NAMSS certifications in focus areas such as CPCS, CPES, or CPMSM highly desirable.

C. EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years management/leadership experience in provider and/or payer credentialing, preferably in a comparable organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians at a management and/or executive level.
• Track record of managing multiple departments/functions, preferably in a comparable health care setting.
