Full Job Description
About The Team

The Marketing Planning and Operations function sets the standard for how marketing is planned and executed at Life360. The team is responsible for long-term planning and budgeting, ensuring alignment across the organization and that the right strategies and processes are in place to achieve company objectives. Operating cross-functionally within the marketing organization, this group maintains a holistic view of initiatives and priorities, enabling it to inform marketing strategy and support the execution of both short- and long-term goals.
About the Job

Life360's marketing org has grown fast - spanning B2C and B2B, multiple international markets, and a widening set of specialist teams - and we're ready to build the planning and budget infrastructure that matches that scale. We're hiring a Director, Marketing Planning & Operations, reporting to the VP Integrated Marketing, to build that infrastructure: a single source of truth for the budget, a planning cadence every team can rely on, and workflows that replace ad hoc coordination. Within your first year, success means marketing leadership has one real-time view of spend and priorities and every team knows exactly how their work connects to the plan.

The US-based salary range for this position is $137,000 to $252,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You'll Do
Planning

Drives end-to-end strategy and process across the marketing organization, ensuring alignment between business priorities and how marketing supports them.
  • Own and drive long-range, annual, and quarterly planning-defining strategic pillars, establishing cross-team timelines, and collaborating with global marketing leadership to scale, adapt, and align marketing execution across international markets.
  • Facilitate brainstorm sessions for planning with clear structure, driving discussion, decisions, and next steps.
  • Produce and manage key marketing deliverables and executive templates, including QBR presentations (in collaboration with marketing leads), weekly status updates, monthly company newsletters, and Board of Directors materials.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to the CMO and marketing leads.
Operating Rhythms

Ensure effective, cohesive operations across every team in the marketing organization.
  • Partner across all marketing functions-including Creative, Lifecycle, PMM, Paid Ads, and Integrated Marketing-to evaluate team operations, bridge cross-functional gaps, and establish unified workflows, templates, and processes that optimize execution and drive integrated performance.
  • Ensure every team understands how they collaborate and connect across the broader organization, identifying and building the cross-functional workflows to support this.
  • Own the communication and rollout of new workflows and operating practices across the marketing org.
  • Support the marketing organization through agency selection, management, and procurement.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement workflow tools that improve efficiency across individual teams and the organization as a whole.
Budgets

Partner with the CMO and marketing leads to plan and manage annual and quarterly budgets.
  • Maintain a central budget system that enables accurate, real-time tracking across all teams and channels.
  • Partner closely with Finance to manage budgets, project metrics, and control costs across T&E and marketing investment areas, driving financial efficiency and maximum ROI.
  • Lead key stakeholder partnerships to align cross-team priorities, establishing consistent operating rhythms and communications that clarify budget expectations and streamline execution.
What We're Looking For
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing Planning, Marketing Operations, or Strategy & Operations roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft clear, concise, and impactful executive communications.
  • Stellar project management expertise with a strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding project deadlines.
  • Deep business acumen and curiosity for problem-solving, understanding business drivers, and engaging directly with the product.
  • Financial acumen, including hands-on experience managing complex budgets within matrixed or multidivisional organizations.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset, with a history of building strong cross-functional partnerships across all organizational levels.
  • Subscription business model experience preferred.
  • International experience working across global teams is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Our Benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Generous time off: flexible PTO, companywide holidays throughout the year plus summer and winter shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership Tile trackers
