ROLE AND PURPOSE:

The Marketing Director is a strategic partner that is part of the high-performing Communications team. This position is responsible for proactively researching, developing, executing, analyzing, and adjusting comprehensive marketing strategies that drive stakeholder engagement, boost enrollment and recruitment, and position the district as a top-tier choice for families and staff across the north Texas region, state, and nation. This position demands a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate will bring a proactive approach to trend analysis, campaign planning, and engagement strategy anticipating shifts in the competitive landscape and adjusting messaging and media strategy accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, political science or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a marketing-focused role required; public sector or education sector preferred.
  • Experience in email marketing, SEO, Google Ads, social media, website analytics tools and media buying.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of the Arlington/DFW community preferred.
  • Previous school district communications and marketing experience is preferred.
  • Experience managing large-scale campaigns and high-impact content strategies.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage marketing budgets aligned to campaign KPIs and ROI targets.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi-channel, integrated marketing campaigns across paid and owned media platforms.
  • Proven expertise in translating engagement data and campaign performance into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneous.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

MARKETING:
  • Lead the development, execution, and ongoing optimization of data-driven, insight-based marketing plans that support district goals and brand identity.
  • Develop content for a variety of marketing tools and promotional collateral for internal and external distribution to celebrate and communicate the strengths of the district.
  • Empower every Arlington ISD employee to provide customers with an amazing experience through establishing customer service standards, training, and accountability measures.
  • Assist campuses and departments in the creation and execution of promotional materials.
  • Lead or contribute to training initiatives and professional development within the Communications team and across district departments.
  • Work cross-functionally with campuses, departments, and external vendors to align messaging and ensure consistency of brand standards.

SOCIAL MEDIA:
  • Oversee Social Media campaigns and deliver relevant content with team members to the sites on a daily basis.
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, design and strategy to implement best strategies.
  • Compile reports as needed showing results and page analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

DIGITAL ASSET CREATION:
  • Design, prepare and edit district publications including newsletters, recruitment brochures, programs for special events and other publications.
  • Create and implement Arlington ISD's digital marketing strategy to deliver on the district's vision.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns-including graphic design, branding, advertising, social media engagement and video assets.
  • Evaluate the success of creative communications and digital marketing campaign.

SPECIAL EVENTS:
  • Serve as district-wide events coordinator alongside Chief Communications Officer.
  • Coordinate all district-level events including, but not limited to banquets, dedications, convocation, celebrations, special meetings and recognition programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Multi-Media Specialist
  • Communication team members as assigned
