Full Job Description
As the Market Development Director - Carroll County, you will serve as Antietam Broadband's local market leader, responsible for helping to deliver P&L financial growth, strengthening community relationships, reaching subscriber targets, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout Carroll County.

This highly visible role will lead Antietam Broadband's day-to-day market presence and serve as a key connection between our customers, community leaders, local government, businesses, sales teams, and operational teams.

The Market Director will combine business development, community engagement, sales leadership, and operational coordination to grow Antietam Broadband's fiber business and establish the company as the preferred local broadband provider throughout Carroll County.

Title: Director, Business Development

Location: Office located in Hagerstown, MD

Rate: $125,000 - $145,000 annually with annual incentive (bonus) based on meeting key performance indicators

Full-Time/Part Time: Full-Time

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Antietam Broadband's day-to-day market presence and business activities throughout Carroll County.
  • Drive residential and business customer growth, penetration, and targeted P&L revenue performance across the market.
  • Develop and execute local strategies to increase awareness and adoption of Antietam Broadband's fiber services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local government officials, municipalities, HOAs, businesses, community organizations, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent Antietam Broadband at community meetings, business events, Chamber activities, and other local organizations and events.
  • Serve as a visible brand ambassador for Antietam Broadband and reinforce our commitment to being a trusted local provider.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Construction, and Customer Experience teams to ensure successful market expansion and customer acquisition.
  • Coordinate market-level activities associated with fiber construction, service availability, customer installations, and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Antietam Broadband's presence within neighborhoods, HOAs, businesses, and communities.
  • Monitor market performance, competitive activity, customer feedback, sales results, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide senior leadership with regular updates on market performance, opportunities, risks, competitive developments, and community activity.
  • Help remove barriers that could impact customer acquisition, installations, construction, or the overall customer experience.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Carroll County, or a similar type of market area, with a proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with local businesses, community & government leaders, and other necessary key stakeholders.
  • Proven P&L growth capabilities with demonstrated strong ability to drive local residential & business subscriber growth while also initiating new market developmental growth opportunities.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and community engagement skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to represent Antietam Broadband professionally with customers, businesses, government officials, and community leaders.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to analyze market performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Construction, and Customer Experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and understand fiber broadband products and services.
  • Telecommunications, broadband, fiber, technology, or related industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel throughout Carroll County and occasionally to other company locations as needed.
