The Director, Market Access & Reimbursement is responsible for leading the development and execution of reimbursement and market access strategies that accelerate patient access and drive commercial success for INSIGHTEC's MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) portfolio.
Reporting to the Global Head, Vice President - Market Access & Reimbursement, this senior leader will have a strong voice and serve as the Americas region reimbursement leader, partnering across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Health Economics-Value, Regulatory, Government Affairs, and Product Management to ensure favorable coding, coverage, payment, and access strategies are developed and implemented across key markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Americas reimbursement and market access strategies with an emphasis on the US market supporting commercialization, product adoption, and business growth.
- Lead coverage, coding and payment, and overall reimbursement initiatives for existing and future indications.
- Build strategic relationships with CMS national, Medicare Administrative Contractors, commercial payers, Medicaid agencies, and Americas region reimbursement agencies.
- Partner with government agencies, health technology assessment organizations, and key stakeholders to support evidence-based coverage decisions.
- Develop partnerships with professional societies, advocacy organizations, and industry associations to advance reimbursement objectives.
- Create reimbursement tools and educational resources for providers, hospitals, patients, and commercial teams.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Health Economics-Value, and Commercial Leadership to align market access strategies with business objectives.
- Support product launches, geographic expansion, and evidence generation from a market access perspective.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Americas market access and reimbursement organization including a US-based field team of 2 FTEs to support claims adjudication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MHA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in med tech market access, reimbursement, or healthcare policy within the medical device or broader healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated success securing reimbursement for innovative medical technologies across government and commercial payers in the US market. Some extended experience in Canadian market is preferred.
- Expertise in expanding coverage both in Medicare Administrative Contracting (MACs) developing submissions and driving establishment of Local Coverage Decisions (LCD's) and Commercial payer markets including the Nationals, BCBS and regional payers
- Experience and exposure to the AMA CPT Editorial Panel process, leading initiatives to obtain CPT codes and alignment from key stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of CMS annual rulemaking (ex. OPPS, PFS) and a track record of engaging the agency to achieve annual reimbursement objectives
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives within a global organization.
- Prior experience launching a disruptive technology requiring new CPT/APC coding
- Ability to grow with the organization and willingness to assume additional responsibilities over time
- Analytical competencies to structure complex issues, synthesize key points, communicate and present in an easily understandable manner
- Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook

Travel
- Domestic and some international travel (ex. Americas region) of approximately 20-30% may be required.
