Director, Liquefaction
Located:
Houston
We are seeking an experienced leader to join us as a Director, Liquefaction Equipment Delivery within the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) team based out of Venture Global's Houston, TX offices. The Venture Global OFE team is responsible to ensure that the properly specified and configured Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment is delivered on-time. The Venture Global OFE team is also responsible for the performance, interface and correct functionality of the Power Island, Pre-treatment and Liquefaction Equipment.
As a director within the OFE team, you will be responsible for Liquefaction equipment delivery including coordination of interface points during engineering, fabrication, and construction planning across active VG projects. The role will report through the Vice President, Liquefaction, Owner Furnished Equipment.
General Description Duties & Responsibilities
3 Responsible for the correct implementation of OFE Purchase Orders for Liquefaction
3 Responsible for the US Based manufacturing and delivery of Liquefaction Equipment
3 Interface with VG Site Installation, VG Operations, and EPC installation teams to drive:
- Equipment installation, quality, commissioning and operations issues resolution
- Ship loose material and ad hoc material delivery
- Support site generated Change Management including back charges
- Support and checkout installed systems and equipment adhere to OEM
requirements, system descriptions, and good industry standard practice.
3 Control and maintain Liquefaction project budgets and cash flows across all Liquefaction purchase orders
3 Oversee Change Management process for Liquefaction Purchase Orders
3 Review and approve Liquefaction invoices
3 Develop and present executive level project cost and progress updates
3 Communicate effectively to manage expectations and build relationships within and across organizations.
3 Strong planning skills a distinct plus with the ability to adapt to changing priorities as needed.
3 Willingness to travel domestically and internationally 40% or more to support customer witness tests or factory acceptance tests.
Qualifications
Required Experience
3 Demonstrated experience overseeing large industrial construction projects through the stages of conceptual planning, detail engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation at site and commissioning.
3 Strong communication and experience with planning, schedule development, and progress monitoring. Ability to bring disparate teams together to achieve targets and goals.
3 Desire to work on challenging opportunities and tasked with varying responsibilities.
Required Education
3 Bachelors degree in engineering mechanical, electrical or chemical from a University or Technical School, and/or job-related experience and minimum of 15 years field execution experience.
Preferred Experience
3 A consistent record of dedication with a minimum 10-15 years of experience in Industrial Construction design and delivery, experience with LNG/Gas Process/Refinery/Petrochemical Industries a plus.
3 Demonstrated leadership and social skills with the ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, with a strong dedication to employee involvement, team building and diversity.
3 A track record of success in safety, quality, contract management, planning, and progress tracking.
3 Construction experience with power plants desired, but not necessary.
