Full Job Description
This is a fully remote position and can be based anywhere within the U.S.

Provides staff leadership, coaching, support and training for a portion of our Leadership Annual Giving front-line fundraising team who are responsible for cultivating and soliciting personal portfolios of 500-600 mid-level donors to elevate their giving and achieve the LAG team goal of ~$9 million. This position operates in partnership with another Director and is part of the LAG Leadership Team, led by the Senior Director of LAG. In addition to significant managerial responsibilities, this Director manages their own, smaller portfolio of curated mid-level donors and helps move all qualified donors into major gift portfolios managed by ACS Directors of Philanthropy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages, coaches, trains and develops a team of 5-7 Leadership Annual Giving Managers, each holding a portfolio of 500+ donors. Responsible for an overall team goal of ~$9 million. Ensure each team member implements exceptional moves management protocols with excellence throughout each portfolio while promoting their continued professional development - 50%;


  • Manages a personal caseload of 150 - 200 donors to increase giving of mid-level donors and convert qualified donors to become major gift donors through personalized attention and periodic solicitations - 25%;


  • Serves as an active prospect identifier, helping LAG Managers strategically target donors for personal visits and advance annual donors through the donor pipeline to qualify and transition them into major gift portfolios managed by ACS Directors of Philanthropy - 10%;


  • Working closely with the SVP, Philanthropy, Managing Director of LAG and Philanthropy Operations and Senior Director, LAG, creates and implements exceptional donor cultivation and solicitation strategies, including an annual, customizable touchpoint calendar - 10%;


  • Tracks all aspects of the process in CRM following established practices to monitor success. Ensures donor records are accurate and complete - 5%.


EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree


  • Years of experience: Two years of experience with staff management and team leadership preferred. Minimum of three years of fundraising experience within a fast-paced environment preferred.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required, as are excellent time management and computer skills.


  • Strong working knowledge of the moves management process, sales management and development campaign experience is highly desirable.


  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, analyze and solve problems, partner with team members, mentor new team members, and establish collegial, effective working relationships, in a fast-paced environment.


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • One in person meeting a year.

The starting rate is $100,000 to $110,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
