Director Key Account Management Global Account Program - Consumer
How you create impact- Manage a portfolio of global key accounts, driving growth in line with agreed commercial targets and company guidelines.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's organization, decision-making processes, business model, and competitive environment.
- Negotiate rates and service contracts in alignment with business units, ensuring complete and accurate documentation is maintained.
- Ensure expert-level knowledge of Kuehne+Nagel vertical service offerings to identify and pursue relevant business opportunities.
- Monitor monthly commercial performance (pipeline, wins/losses, RFP activity, financial KPIs) and take rapid corrective action when required.
- Prepare and maintain a comprehensive account plan aligned with the Global Key Account Planning Process, securing approval from sales leadership.
- Lead the transition of newly acquired business to operational teams, ensuring customer requirements and commitments are fully met.
- Conduct structured account reviews focused on continuous improvement, innovation, customer priorities, and operational excellence.
What we would like you to bring- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, International Studies, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in key account management, sales, consulting, or supply chain/logistics.
- Proven track record in business development, including consultative/solution selling, up-selling, and cross-selling.
- Broad knowledge of supply chain and logistics across major modes, (Air, Sea, Road, Contract Logistics, Integrated Logistics).
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, both internal and external.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, including empathy and persuasion.
Preference for Jersey City, NJ locaiton but for qualified internals we are open to any major US Kuene+Nagel location

The target base salary range for this position is between $125,000 and $160,000Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
