Full Job Description
Location: Hybrid, 2-3 days per week, Kohler, WI or Glendale, WI.

The Director, IT - Analytics and Insights is a senior technology and business leader responsible for defining and executing the enterprise data and analytics strategy. This role partners closely with the IT Leadership team and business/functional leaders to continue the journey in improving the capabilities and maturity of the organization in this space, driven a data-centric culture, enabling trusted, scalable, and insight-driven decision-making across all global businesses and functions.

In alignment with the organization strategy and goals this role owns the end-to-end data and analytics vision, the operating model, and delivery roadmap-spanning data governance, architecture, integration, analytics platforms, and advanced analytics (including AI/ML). Success is measured by business enablement, adoption, operational stability in this area and continuous improvement in analytics maturity.

Specific Responsibilties:

Enterprise Data & Analytics Strategy
  • Define and own the enterprise data and analytics vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap, aligned to business priorities and strategy.
  • Translate analytics investments into measurable business outcomes, such as improved decision quality, efficiency gains, and increased organizational transparency. Revise and improve the scorecard/metrics for the area.
  • Advocate for sustained investment in data and analytics through executive storytelling, demonstrated ROI, and "art of the possible" use cases.


Platforms, Architecture & Delivery
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and evolution of enterprise data and analytics platforms, including data pipelines, data warehouses/lakes, analytics and visualization tools, geospatial capabilities, and data science environments.
  • Govern and improve enterprise data and analytics architecture principles to ensure scalability, security, interoperability, and performance.
  • Track progress against the analytics roadmap, proactively intervening to manage dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.


Data Governance, Privacy & Security
  • Scale the enterprise data governance model, including data ownership, stewardship, quality standards, and decision forums. Partner with Information Security, Compliance, Legal, and Privacy teams to ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and responsible data usage across all analytics capabilities.
  • Promote enterprise trust in data through consistent standards, controls, and transparency.


Analytics Operating Model & Ways of Working
  • Champion a focus on solving the right problems by leveraging design thinking, prioritization discipline, and outcome-based planning.
  • Increase analytics and Agile maturity across the enterprise through the creation and adoption of Centers of Excellence, including Analytics and Agile/Delivery Enablement.


Leadership, Talent & Financial Management
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across data engineering, analytics, data science, and delivery enablement, including internal staff and external partners.
  • Provide analytics-focused project and delivery enablement support for major business initiatives in partnership with IT BRM's and IT PMO.
  • Own budget management, capital planning, and resource strategy for data and analytics, ensuring capacity and utilization align to business demand.
  • Ensures the team/are focus on "solving the right problems" through design thinking in connection with the strategy/objectives with a value driven approach.


External Perspective & Innovation
  • Maintain strong external networks and partnerships to stay current on emerging analytics, AI/ML, and data platform trends.
  • Assess competitive, consumer, and technology landscapes to identify and introduce fit for purpose platforms, tools, approaches, and capabilities that drive business advantage.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in data management, business intelligence, or enterprise data & analytics roles with a preference towards experience in a manufacturing company.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale data and analytics platforms, transformations, and advanced analytics or AI/ML initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Strong working knowledge of modern database technologies, big data environments, analytics platforms, and Agile delivery methodologies. Azure and SAP experience are a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, lead change, and operate effectively across complex, global organizations.

The Salary range for this position is $156,000.00-$201,900.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
