Responsibilities

  • Direct and mentor inventory and logistics leaders across Kardium manufacturing sites
  • Foster a high-performance team culture focusing on employee engagement and development
  • Drive continuous improvement programs in inventory and logistics processes
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, WIP, and FG at Kardium and third-party warehouses
  • Ensure materials are stored according to environmental requirements
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators for inventory accuracy
  • Oversee inventory service levels and implement corrective action for disruptions
  • Manage logistics and inventory warehousing partner performance and trade compliance activities
  • Ensure scalability of Kardium's distribution strategy for medical devices
  • Promote a safety-first culture in compliance with health and safety regulations

Full Job Description
In this role you will work cross-functionally with other operational leaders to understand inventory warehousing and product delivery needs. You ensure that inventory movements both internal and external to Kardium are conducted efficiently and effectively. Your hard work and diligence ensure that Kardium meets its delivery commitments to our customers. Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC. Meaningful work you will be a part of Your responsibilities will include:
  • Direct and mentor inventory and logistics leaders across all Kardium manufacturing sites
  • Grow a high-performance team culture, driving engagement, retention and employee development
  • Instill a continuous improvement mindset and drive programs to improve efficiency and control of inventory and logistics processes
  • Manage all raw materials, WIP and FG inventory located at Kardium and third-party warehouses
  • Ensure materials at all Kardium locations are stored in appropriate conditions that meet applicable environmental requirements
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (Inventory accuracy, etc.) and set standards to direct site and team actions and performance
  • Monitor inventory service levels to the manufacturing floor and drive corrective actions to resolve and eliminate disruptions
  • Direct the sourcing, qualification, and cost and delivery performance management of all logistics and inventory warehousing partners
  • Direct and manage all trade compliance activities, taking advantage of available trade classifications to ensure any taxes and tariffs paid are minimized
  • Ensure Kardium's distribution strategy for medical devices is scalable at a global level
  • Champion and drive a safety-first culture, and ensure compliance with all local environment, health and safety regulations

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
  • Degree in Operations Management, Trade and Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior operations leadership role, preferably in a complex manufacturing and distribution environment
  • Proven experience scaling warehousing and distribution functions to high commercial volumes
  • Strong analytic, strategic thinking and operational planning skills
  • Strong working knowledge of international trade agreements and compliance
  • Experience sourcing and qualifying warehousing and logistics providers
  • Excellent supplier relationship management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and technical documentation skills
Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted. As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.
  • $140,000 - $220,000 (CAD Annually)
