DescriptionThe Treasure Valley Family YMCA in Boise, ID is currently seeking a
Director of Information Technology to join our Association. This position is responsible building and maintaining the technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA to ensure integrity, availability, and security of the organization's information assets. This role will additionally serve as the Treasure Valley Family YMCA Security Officer.
Responsibilities:- Technology Strategy: Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization's overall business objectives. Develops and manages the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions while optimizing technology investments.
- Information Security and Compliance: Oversee the information security programs of the organization to ensure the organization's data and technology assets are protected. Ensure the security of information meets business objectives and compliance standards.
- Information Technology: Oversee the technology infrastructure of the organization, including networks, servers, software, equipment, and business technology. Ensures the reliability and scalability of systems to meet current and future organizational needs. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Policy: Leads the development and implementation of effective and reasonable IT policies and practices, and secure protected and sensitive data and ensure information security and data privacy.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing and customer service-oriented IT team. Manage team priorities in accordance with operational needs and strategic business plan and foster a collaborative and innovative IT culture.
- Communications: Communicate IT strategies and information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and collaborate with other departments to achieve business goals. Serves as the point of contact for all information technology security communications and concerns.
- Assessment: Monitors and assesses the Y's security measures, such as firewalls, anti-virus software, and passwords, to identify any weak points that might make information systems vulnerable to attack. Arranges for and supervises simulated attacks to test the efficiency of security measures.
- Incident Response: Keeps abreast of security incidents and acts as primary control point during significant information security incidents. Convenes a Critical Response Team (CRT) as needed, or requested, in addressing
and investigating security incidents that arise. Communicates with CEO, CFO and others as necessary regarding security incidents and reporting.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business or other with significant technology experience.
- 10+ years of related work experience with a minimum of 5 years in technology leadership role with proven track-record of success managing IT team and information security.
- A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software, business technology, data management, and various technologies and platforms.
- A strong understanding of business principles and the ability to translate IT needs into business solutions.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and budget management of IT projects.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team, and to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Deep understanding of technology trends, emerging technologies, and best practice in the industry.
Required Licensure and/or Certifications:- Cannot be on Medicare Exclusion List.
- YUSA Team Leader Certification within 3 years required.
