Summary:

The position of Director Human Resources, Home Community Based Care (HCBC) is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the Human Resource process and initiatives for HCBC in coordination with HCBC Leadership and Corporate Human Resources. Position is responsible for the strategic oversite of HCBC Human Resources and providing HR Customer Services, Employee Relations, Recruitment and day-to-day HR operations. This position is also responsible for providing oversight and operational guidance for all aspects of planning, budgeting and execution of a foundation sponsored project focused on the retention, recruitment, and transition of entry level care givers. Collaborates extensively with internal and external partners to bring the vision and plan of the Foundation's Project to fruition. Provides oversight and support to others involved in the project.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant course of study required, a Master's degree in said fields strongly preferred
  • Certification as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Certification in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR) strongly preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum eight (8) - ten (10) years of progressive work experience in human resources including managing in complex business environments
  • Two (2) - four (4) years of project management work experience in a healthcare related field required


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated strategic planning, analytical, and organization skills
  • Excellent and current knowledge of HR management, employment law and regulations, with a focus on a healthcare environment
  • Strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Excel, Work, and PowerPoint applications
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Lawson and Kronos Time & Attendance a plus
  • Ability to direct a project team to meet contractual requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of State and Federal regulatory requirements
  • Strong Project and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong leader in developing, mentoring, coaching, and managing staff
  • Ability to work independently and to translate broad goals and objectives info specific application and project requirements
  • Ability to analyze future impact of programs and initiatives on business mission
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with Executive and Management Staff
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective time management skills
