Director, HR Technology and Operations

You will have the opportunity to build and lead a data- and process-driven HR operating model at Gentherm!

As a strategic leader, this role is accountable for defining and executing the global HR Technology and Operations strategy, establishing a scalable, efficient, and compliant service delivery model. This is a key center of expertise for HR operations, including HR Technology, payroll, and workforce data, driving standardization, governance, and continuous improvement across the enterprise. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of global HR processes and technology solutions, enabling an integrated, analytics-driven HR function. You will oversee North America Payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, timeliness, and a best-in-class employee experience. You are a key partner with HR, IT, Finance and business leadership to drive transformation through data insights, process excellence, and digital enablement, while building a global framework for delivering HR services that support growth and operational scalability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and lead the global HR Technology strategy and roadmap, with accountability for the SAP SuccessFactors platform and broader HR systems ecosystem. Partner with HR and business leadership to prioritize investments, enable digital transformation, and align technology capabilities with enterprise objectives
  • Champion a data-driven HR operating model, fostering a culture of analytics and insight-based decision-making. Collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Expertise (COEs), Finance, and IT to translate business needs into actionable workforce analytics, dashboards, and predictive insights
  • Establish and govern a global HR data strategy, including enterprise-wide data governance, data quality standards, and stewardship models. Provide leadership and direction to regional HR operations, systems, and data teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance
  • Lead the transition to a global HR Operations service delivery model, including the design and implementation of standardized processes, shared services, and scalable support structures to improve efficiency and employee experience
  • Oversee HR systems operations and service delivery, ensuring effective administration, continuous improvement, and alignment with global process standards while driving automation and simplification
  • Partner with HR COEs to design and implement global, standardized processes across key talent lifecycle areas (e.g., recruiting, onboarding, performance management, talent and succession, learning and development, engagement, and compensation), ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs
  • Ensure enterprise-wide compliance, controls, and data integrity, serving as the primary liaison with IT, Internal Audit, and external regulators. Establish governance frameworks that mitigate risk and uphold regulatory standards across all HR operations.
  • Provide strategic oversight of North America Payroll operations and transformation, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery. Drive modernization, process optimization, and integration within the broader HR operations model, and guide the organization on compliance and risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead vendor strategy and governance, including selection, performance management, and optimization of third-party partners. Establish and enforce service level agreements and ensure vendors align with enterprise standards and transformation goals


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten years of progressively increasing HR experience with significant focus on HR Technology and HR Operations / Shared Services
  • Four years in a leadership role with responsibility for global or multi-region teams and enterprise-scale initiatives
  • Extensive experience managing and optimizing HR Technology platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Dayforce) and HR systems ecosystems
  • Demonstrated success leading or transforming to a global HR Operations model, including process standardization, service delivery design, and change management
  • Proven track record of leading HR digital transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership, IT, and Finance to deliver integrated solutions


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, or Information Technology preferred
