THE ROLE

Everpure is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director, HR & Legal Technology and Transformation to lead technology strategy, enterprise applications, and transformation initiatives supporting the Human Resources and Legal organizations. This role will serve as a trusted technology partner to HR and Legal leaders, translating business priorities into an integrated application, data, and transformation roadmap. The leader will oversee a portfolio of HR and Legal systems and services, drive modernization and simplification, and ensure that technology investments improve employee experience, operational effectiveness, risk management, and business agility.

The ideal candidate brings strong industry experience in HR and Legal technology, a track record of implementing and transforming enterprise systems, and the ability to influence across business and technology organizations. They are equally comfortable shaping strategy, leading complex programs, improving operational discipline, and developing high-performing teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Proactively identify and champion innovative ideas to transform HR processes by leveraging emerging technologies and solutions, such as AI.
  • Define and execute the HR & Legal technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap in partnership with HR, Legal, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Data, and Digital Transformation leaders.
  • Act as a strategic technology partner to HR and Legal leaders, shaping priorities, investment decisions, operating models, and transformation plans.
  • Lead the implementation, modernization, integration, and ongoing evolution of enterprise applications supporting HR and Legal processes, employee experiences, legal operations, compliance, and corporate services.
  • Help establish a clear portfolio strategy across core platforms, business-owned applications, integrations, data products, automation, and emerging technologies, including responsible adoption of AI.
  • Drive end-to-end transformation from current-state assessment and business capability mapping through future-state design, delivery, adoption, and value realization.
  • Build and maintain an integrated roadmap that balances business outcomes, user experience, speed, scalability, technical debt, security, privacy, compliance, and operational resilience.
  • Partner with HR and Legal process owners to simplify workflows, reduce manual work, improve self-service, and create consistent experiences for employees, managers, HR partners, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
  • Establish effective governance for application ownership, architecture, integrations, data quality, vendor relationships, service levels, risk, and lifecycle management.
  • Oversee strategic vendors and implementation partners, ensuring delivery quality, commercial accountability, performance against commitments, and alignment to Everpure's roadmap.
  • Create executive-ready communications that clarify progress, decisions, risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and realized business value.
  • Develop operating mechanisms and metrics to measure portfolio health, adoption, service quality, delivery predictability, user experience, and return on investment.
  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing team of technology, product, program, and application leaders; create an environment of accountability, inclusion, learning, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent HR & Legal technology needs in enterprise planning, architecture, security, data governance, and transformation forums.
  • We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise technology, business applications, digital transformation, or technology-enabled operations, including meaningful experience supporting HR and/or Legal organizations.
  • Proven success leading complex implementations and transformations across enterprise HR and Legal applications, platforms, integrations, and data ecosystems.
  • Experience translating business strategy into technology strategy, multi-year roadmaps, investment cases, operating models, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of HR technology domains such as HCM, talent, recruiting, compensation, employee service delivery, workforce management, employee experience, and HR analytics.
  • Strong understanding of Legal technology domains such as legal service delivery, contract lifecycle management, matter management, e-billing, eDiscovery, intellectual property, compliance, privacy, or legal operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment and build trusted relationships with executives, functional leaders, and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience managing or governing packaged applications, custom solutions, integrations, data flows, and vendor relationships in a global or complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect technology decisions to employee experience, productivity, risk reduction, compliance, and business performance.
  • Experience establishing governance, service management, application ownership, delivery standards, and operational metrics across a diverse application portfolio.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change, stakeholder adoption, communications, and process redesign-not just technology delivery.
  • Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, negotiation, and executive storytelling skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.

The annual base salary range is:

$225,000-$281,000 USD
