Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a strategic, people-focused leader to serve as Director, Human Resources Business Partner for the largest division in the Space Systems Sector. This is an opportunity to shape the talent solutions behind mission-critical work. As a leader within the Space Systems Sector, you will influence how teams are built, developed, and supported across a broad organization, helping the business stay ready for what is next on the horizon. This role helps shape the talent strategy for a complex, multi-site organization by partnering with senior leaders to strengthen culture, build organizational capability, and ensure the business is positioned to meet its mission and growth objectives. This leader will oversee a team of HR professionals and serve as a trusted advisor on workforce strategy, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, leadership development, and change. The ideal candidate brings strong business judgment, thought leadership, continuous improvement, and the ability to turn strategy into measurable outcomes.

Essential Functions:
• Lead HR business partner strategy for a complex, multi-site division within the Space Systems Sector
• Partner with senior and cross-functional leaders to align talent strategy with business priorities, operational objectives, and long-range growth plans
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of HR professionals
• Advise leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, succession, talent development, and change management
• Utilize metrics and workforce analytics to inform decisions and improve organizational performance
• Guide leaders on employee relations, performance management, compensation, engagement, and retention matters with sound judgment
• Drive staffing and workforce plans to ensure the organization has the talent needed to deliver results
• Champion an inclusive, high-accountability culture that supports collaboration, leadership effectiveness, and employee growth
• Demonstrate ownership and proactive leadership of various Human Resources projects and initiatives at the division and sector level

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience; or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience; or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
• 10 years of prior relevant experience, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience leading HR strategies across performance management, employee engagement, retention, staffing, compensation, leadership coaching and development, and succession planning
• Experience supporting core HR disciplines, including employee relations, organizational development, and change management

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Strong business and HR acumen, including critical thinking, sound judgment, and a track record of delivering results
• Ability to develop HR functional skills and capabilities
• Ability to influence, coach, and consult with all levels of the organization in a positive and effective manner
• Experience supporting a P&L organization
• Project management experience leading projects and utilizing HR metrics and analytics to make recommendations and inform talent decisions
• Ability to influence and navigate decision-making without formal authority
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; highly adaptable and able to operate effectively in a complex environment, make difficult decisions, and guide others through ambiguity

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $131,500-$244,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
