JOB DESCRIPTION

How you’ll contribute  

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, advanced practice providers, practice managers, EMS agencies, employers, and other referral sources throughout Northeastern Nevada.

  • Serve as the hospital's primary field representative by regularly visiting provider offices, community partners, and referral sources to strengthen relationships and increase awareness of hospital services.

  • Identify barriers to patient access, referral challenges, and communication gaps, then collaborate with hospital leadership and service line directors to develop solutions and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Promote hospital service lines and strategic growth initiatives, including new programs and specialty services, to increase referrals and market awareness.

  • Develop and execute territory outreach plans that maximize referral opportunities throughout Elko County and surrounding communities, including Battle Mountain, Winnemucca, Ely, Jackpot, and other regional markets.

  • Build trusted relationships with providers and community stakeholders through regular face-to-face engagement, educational programs, networking events, and community outreach activities.

  • Coordinate physician introductions, provider meet-and-greet events, lunch-and-learns, educational seminars, and community events to strengthen clinical partnerships.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, hospital leadership, physician practices, and service line directors to support growth initiatives and strategic business development efforts.

  • Document provider interactions, opportunities, issues, and follow-up activities within the organization's CRM platform while maintaining accurate outreach records.

  • Gather competitive and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and support organizational strategic planning.

  • Serve as an ambassador for Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital by delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism, and representing the organization's mission and values throughout the community.

  • Regularly communicate referral trends, provider feedback, market opportunities, and outreach activities to hospital leadership and the Growth & Outreach team.

 

What we’re looking for  


Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree. Additional requirements include: 

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare outreach, physician relations, provider relations, business development, healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with physicians, providers, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders.

  • Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably engage healthcare professionals and executive leaders.

  • Self-motivated professional who thrives working independently with minimal supervision while effectively managing a large geographic territory.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and consistently follow through on commitments.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Comfortable traveling throughout Northeastern Nevada on a regular basis, including visits to surrounding communities and regional referral partners.

  • Experience planning and facilitating provider events, educational programs, networking opportunities, or community outreach initiatives preferred.

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, physician liaison, healthcare business development, provider relations, or clinical outreach strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • High degree of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and customer service orientation.
